Kids Off The Kerb’s current projects include:
Re-new Kerbside Collection
The City of Moonee Valley has partnered with Kids Off The Kerb and Waste Diversion Enterprises to conduct an innovative kerbside collection called Re-new, which is conducted across that municipality four times a year. Read more
Uniform Recycling
Kids Off The Kerb has established an enterprise for uniform recycling. By way of example, The Commonwealth Bank of Australia chose the sustainable option by encouraging staff to return their discontinued and excess garments for recycling. Read more
Renewed Products
In partnership with Waste Diversion Enterprises and Australian Composite Technology, young people are being trained to market and sell recycled plastic products, including fence posts, bollards and boarding. The marketing and sale of these products is under the brand name, “Renewed Products”. Read more
Hard Waste
Kids Off The Kerb has developed an association with the City of Yarra and the Brotherhood of St Laurence, to collect reusable materials from Council’s hard waste collections. Read more
In Your Shoes
In Your Shoes is a project, particularly suitable for schools, whereby individuals and groups can donate shoes, especially second-hand, wearable shoes, while at the same time seeking to divert them from ending up in landfill. See: www.inyourshoes.com.au. Read more
